For Such a Time - Generations

"I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living” (Psalm 27:13, KJV).
In every generation throughout history, men and women have looked at their circumstances and thought they were living through the most challenging times.
In truth, each generation has faced increasing spiritual darkness, as the Bible tells us plainly that in the last days evil will intensify.
Each generation has lived through the “worst” times, as the world indeed waxes worse and worse as we move steadily toward Christ’s return.
But remember Esther, a young woman who found herself placed in the palace at the precise moment of her people’s greatest peril.
She didn’t choose her circumstances.
She didn’t ask for such a heavy responsibility.
Yet God intentionally placed her there.
Mordecai wisely counseled her with these powerful words,
“…who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14, KJV).
Esther was handpicked by God for her moment in history, and so are you.
The era we find ourselves in today like every era before is NOW the most spiritually challenging yet.
The world seems dark, chaotic, and increasingly hostile to God’s Word.
But God did not place you here by accident.
You were born intentionally for this very moment.
God carefully chose you to be a light precisely because the darkness would be so great.
David, in his own challenging times, proclaimed with confidence:
“I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living” (Psalm 27:13, KJV).
His hope, like ours, rested not in easy circumstances but in the surety of God’s presence and goodness even amidst trials.
We may live in the age of Laodicea, marked by lukewarm faith and spiritual compromise, but we do not have to embody that lukewarm spirit.
We can instead choose faithfulness, zeal, and uncompromising devotion.
We can be people marked by unwavering conviction in a world characterized by confusion and compromise.
We can live in Laodicea, and not be Laodicean.
Parents, it is essential to remember this truth for your children as well. (Generations)
They have been chosen to live in the days ahead.
The future may seem uncertain, even daunting, but God specifically designed and gifted your children for what they will face.
Your task is to prepare them.
Satan is desperately trying to distract us from this calling.
Screens, social media, constant entertainment, and countless activities are not neutral things; they often serve as intentional distractions.
A wise man once said that BUSY stands for…. “Bound Under Satan’s Yoke.”
Be vigilant to avoid being bound by busyness. Instead, intentionally disciple your children, instilling biblical truth and equipping them spiritually for what lies ahead.
You were chosen for now.
Your children were chosen for now. (Generations)
Embrace this calling with confidence and clarity, trusting fully that the Lord who called Esther into her challenging circumstances also calls you today.
Stand firm, shine brightly, and raise your children purposefully, knowing you were indeed born for such a time as this.
Esther 9.28: …that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city, that these days of Purim should not fail to be observed among the Jews, and that the memory of them should not perish among their descendants.
Psalm 22.30: A posterity shall serve Him. It will be recounted of the Lord to the next generation…
Psalm 49.11: Their inner thought is that their houses will last forever, Their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.
Psalm 78.4: We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.
Joel 1.3: Tell your children about it, and let your children tell their children, and their children the next generation.
Ephesians 3.21: …to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Psalm 78:4
How very true, to face the reality of the trial and tribulations that could be in the lives of our children to come. Therefore, it is very necessary to teach the next generation that there will be times when struggle will be evident in their lives and if they knew not the Master of their destiny, they will be lost. Share the Wonders of Him with them in their youth and they will not be lost in times of trouble
